Will u plz give me simple diagram for tube light connection
& also function of chock?
Answer Posted / engr. arbab waheed ahmad
there are two types of tube lights
1) with starter
2) without starter
1)for "with starter" the connection diagram is connect the
upper two pins of tube with two pins of starter and the
from lower two pins one is connected to the neutral wire
and the other is connected to the phase wire through choke.
function of choke is that when current changes due to
starter it produces a high voltage in 1000v range to ionize
the gas inside the tube according to the eq.

HELLO EVERYONE, I RECENTLY HAVE FOUND ONE PROBLEM, I WAS TAKING NO LOAD TRIAL OF AN HT MOTOR 920 MOTOR , 1440 RPM , 6.6 KV, WITH AUTO TRANSFORMER. AT 450 V, LOAD WAS 40 AMP AND SPEED WAS 250 RPM. BUT AS WE INCREASE VOLTAGE FROM 450 TO 480V, LOAD BECOME 41 AND SPEED REDUCED TO SOME RPM . SO WHICH PHENOMENON ACTED HERE FOR REDUCING SPEED.?? AND IS IT HAPPENING ALWAYS OR IT IS RARE? I ALSO HAVE FACED SUCH PROBLEM WITH FEW LT MOTOR ALSO.
