why petrol engine gives more power than diesel engine
eventhough diesel engine has high compression ratio?

Although there is more compression ratio in diesel engine
but
1.there is non uniform burning of air fuel mixture
2.Less turbulance in engine
3.less energy extracted by diesel than petrol
