This is the correct answer. The water level would stay the
same. Ice in water floats at the top. Why b/c ice is less
dense than water. A small portion of the ice is above the
water. When the ice melts, the density increases (to that
of water) thus the volume decreases. Due to: V = m/density.
This decrease in volume of the new water (from the ice) is
balanced by the small portion of the ice that was out of the
water, which is now a part of the water, thus increasing the
volume. The net decrease/increase of water is zero, THE
WATER LEVEL STAYS THE SAME!
