i think margin of safety is nothing but fcator of safety.
factor of satfety is defined as the ratio of ultimate
stress to allowable stress and it should be always greater
than one

1) Any pipe line working fluid may water / steam on it one manual isolation valve suppose one side of valve 6 kg/ cm^2 pressure (i.e. up stream) and other side is “ 0” kg/ cm^2 pressure(i.e. down stream) . So how much Tourqe required for opening the valve in terms of Newton force wheather normal man can open this valve. (for reference pipe nominal bore is 100 NB )
