Powerfactor is defined as the cosine of the angle between
voltage & current.pf=kW/kVA.It is the ratio of power
utilized to the power delivered.pf depends on the type of
load.
If the load is inductive,pf is lagging.
If the load is capacitive,pf is leading.
If the load is resistive,pf is unity.
pf can be found out from the power triangle.
