First thing to be understood in sales is what the customer
wants!! Ask him open ended questions like-Hi I'm coming
from xxxx Pen company!! Before I explain about this pen to
you, can I know what is ur work like?? what qualities do u
xpect in a good pen..If he says he is a manager--tell him,
As you are in a respectable position you may need to send
out a lot of documents and write a lot of details on
it..Also they say, a good pen will show the importance you
give to quality..then explain the features of the pen to
him--like it can write without breaks,ink never
freezes,rubber grip,steel body, etc.,finally, thank him for
his time!
