Biasing means supplying DC energy to active devices(PN
diode,BJT,JFET,MOSFET)so that they starts functioning to
serve the desired purpose.(their junctions can be reverse
or forward biased accordingly.)
Biasing is the means of selecting an operating point of
active device, from which it starts working(either as an
amplifier or an Oscillator) on excitation of input
information.[ofcourse, for oscillator there is no input(DC
is the only source)under which it has to be oscillated
(gives time varying signal)from Dc.]
Biasing MUST be done to active device such that the
selected operating point should be STABLE.
