Dear Friends
I'm one among the Group1(mains) candidates, waiting for the
results. Y'day(16th Oct-08) in ETV2 Pratidwani, the
discussion on 'APPSC GROUP-1' suspected that the main exam
may be cancelled and it was mentioned in the program, that
Supreme court judgment may support the High court decision.
Is it possible to cancel the exam at this stage? after
making this much of efforts???

Dear Friends
It seems the file went to constitutional expert board for
the advice. So, the decision may come in either way. But if
the APPSC is able to support their POLICY, then decision may
come in favor of them, Like.,
****1)Even though UPSC and different states(Karnataka,TN)
following the Reservations in Prelims itself, they are
selecting candidates for mains exams, with only 1:14 ratio.
Where as APPSC is selecting 1:50.
*****2)So this minimum figure(1:14) is very much satisfied
in the current list(Gr-1 2008,9811 list. with enough
candidates in each category).
*****3)But, Women candidates are not enough in the list. I
think at constitutional level it will be the issue of
candidate with their community(SC,ST,OBC,PH), not with the
GENDER.
****4)Regarding candidates who went to court.., Among them
the eligible candidates were permitted for the mains.
w.r.t this 4th point, thinking of candidates who are not
able to approach the high level of courts(HIGHCOURT,SC).For
them, how the justice can be made, as the mains exam was
conducted already with SC order.
