why ammeter always connect in series for measuring the

there are two reasons for it
1- when ammeter is connected in series ,the amount of
current flows through it & electrical appliance will be
same because in series current is same
2-in series the ammeter offers less resistance &we also
know that the resistance of an ideal ammeter is 0
