Role of core in a transformer is to make the best way for
magnetic flux with the lowest magetic resistence. So the
mathrial used for manetic core has to have low manetic
resistance, foe esxample, it can not be from wood or
plastic even copper. In fact, the role of core in
transformer(or electrical machines) is like the role of
wire9 electrical codutor that has very low resistence)in
eletrical cicuits.
