Selection of CTs depends upon its usage, whether for
metering or protection. Class of accuracy, VA burden and
palatability to instrument safety factors need to be
considered incase of metering CTs. In case of protection
CTs, linearity factor w.r.t its primary current and
accuracy factors need to be considered. Metering CTs are
expressed in terms of Class 1 or Class 3 where as
protection cts are expressed as 5P10 or 5P15 or 5P20 or
10P10 etc. The first digit stands for the class of accuracy
and P stands for protection and the last two digits stands
for linearity.

Will any motor burn if voltage provided is lesser than the rated voltage???? If yes, then how is speed control possible with voltage control
I'm generating a pulse of 3V with frequency 80Hz (12.5ms time period) and pulse duration 0.125ms and feeding it to a transformer since i want the pulse to get amplified around 60V. At the output amplification s happening but the pulse is changed to a spike, can you tell me what could be the reason? (an ordinary transformer 220V-12V stepdown transformer is reverse connected ie. now it is 12V-220V stepup and voltage amplification happens)
how can we find thae value of capacitor for single phase motor. what is difference between starting capacitor and running capacitor.
ii) A shunt motor supplied at 230V, runs at 900 rpm when the current is 30A. The resistance of the armature is 0.4 ohms. Calculate the resistance required in series with the armature to reduce the speed to 600 rpm, assuming that the armature current is then 20A. [12]

At the starting of dc motor and syn.motor and induction motor high current flowing through the winding. Due to this the windings burnt out. To avoid this different types of starters are used. But incase of transformer what Will be used (At starting no emf is induced in the primary winding)?

WE know that for Inductor X=2pifL,In DC f=0,then X=0 so,V=IX=0;But In the DC excitation of rotor of AC generator,DC motor field coil which coils are inductor so why does not applying DC voltage short the rotor coil of AC generator and field coil of motor? If it would then DC source might be damaged but it is not happened.
