I agree to the above comment to a certain extent. The
purpose of maintaining the lead time in Sales doc type might
be to cummulate the time that is required to produce or
procure the material.But in SD perspective it is used in
calculating the requeted delivery date in the SO. you can
check it by customising the leadtime and checking the
defaulted delivery date after customising.
If there is any disagreement to my point, Kindly convey so
that I can correct myself.
