difference btw neutral and ground?

neutral is zero potential and earth is nearer to zero
potential. we can earth is used as a neutral.but must
voltage differance between neutra wrt earth is less than
2 volts.

what are the components of a start and stop motor control?

suppose the motor is more than 5hp, two contractors,one
timer, two push buttons(no and nc)and one 230v relay is
required.because of star-delta starting.
but motor is below 5hp one over load relay,one contractor
and two push buttons(no and nc) is suffcient
