A frog starts climbing 15 feet wall. Each hour he climbs 3
feet and rests for 30 minutes. During rest, he slips back 2
feet.

How many hours does the frog take to reach the top?

Answer

A frog climbe 1 feet in 90 min = 1.5 hrs.

for 1 feet 1.5 hrs
for 12 feet x hrs

then,
x = (12*1.5)/1
= 18 hr.
for 12 feet, 18 will require.

now 15 - 12 = 3 feet are needed to reach at top.
now, frog will climbe 3 feet in 1 hr and will reach at top.

Total hrs required are 19.
