SBI was established in the year 1806 and Nationalise in the year 1955. It has a share of 59.73% to RBI.

sbi si NOT owned by a particular person! it's a public
sector bank and like all all public sector units, it's
owned , managed and controlled by the govt of india.
however, if you're asking who is the chairman of sbi then
it's mr. OP Bhatt.

and I also think that the owner should be the share Holders of SBI. Not some particular person. It is not like a Car or House that has to be an owner.

all the government co.shares are in the name of president of
india. so in this manner currently pratibha singh patil is
the owner of sbi and have 59.41% shares in sbi.
in 2008 owership of sbi was transferred to government of india.

If you ask who is chairman of SBI. Now, Chairman of SBI is Arundhati Bhattacharya. She is first women, who become Chairman of the SBI. O.P. Bhatt was appointed Chairman of SBI in June 2006. He retired in March 2011. Nov. 25, 2016 He has been named Chairman of Tata Steel!

I got a interview call from tamilnadu mercantile bank for clerk,and i have some confusion in answering some of the questions. 1. I am MBA and in interview if they say you are overqualified and ask why did you applied for clerk rather than PO how can i answer? The reality is i found clerk exam to be lot easier than PO, so how can i answer them? 2.What to answer if they ask why did you chose our Bank? 3.And what kind of questions they usually ask?
