When a node in any ring topology is protected by using
define that site in loop,that means if any node in this
ring comes down that protected site will be not effected.

protected loop mean ring topology.ring is protected by a
define path by using a separately channel, using metro hub
or SDH node .
when the ring protected site comes down then it is
protected by ring topologies through other side. so the
outage is nothing.
