Whether TDS is deductible after service tax addition or not?..

Answer / praveen.kp

As per the rule the TDS has to be deducted on the full value
of the bill(or on the billing amount)

But only in case of rental charges TDS is deducted on the
basic amount. there is no logic on these 2 cases. But as
per my opinion TDS should not be deducted on service tax,
because it leads to cascading effeft/double taxtion. We
studied that tax cannot be levied on tax.

But unfortunately on the other hand the same govt says tds
to be deducted on the full value of invoice.

Answer / yogender singh

yes tds is deductible after service tax addition but we can
deduct tds only on basic amount not on service tax amount
because we cant not deduct tds on tax (service tax is
already a tax of govt. that is not our income so we should
not deduct tds on service tax)
