The Reserve Bank estimates the demand for bank notes on the
basis of the growth rate of the economy, the replacement
demand and reserve requirements by using statistical models.
The Reserve Bank decides upon the volume and value of bank
notes to be printed. The quantum of bank notes that needs
to be printed broadly depends on the annual increase in
bank notes required for circulation purposes, replacement
of soiled notes and reserve requirements
A currency note (say a $10 bill) is technically a bearer
promissory note, where in the issuing authority promises to
pay the bearer (one how is holding the money) the value of
$10 whenever demanded. Technically, this means that the
holder of money can get equivalent value in gold.
Then the authorities issued money having full backing of
Gold. This was called the Gold parity or the Gold Reserve
System

Hello friends, I am having my SBI interview on 26 May. I have some questions regarding certificates and attestation - As of my understanding they want original 10th, 12th and graduation degree/marksheet and only one attested copy of these documents. Is character certificate mandatory? Can these copies be self attested? Or only by….. I only have my academic documents with me. Will it be sufficient to attend the interview? Please let me know if I am leaving anything. Thanks Disha

Hi friends i am M.Ponraj, i have been selected for the post of Sorting Assistant in RMS'T'Division(Tiruchirapalli), Department of Posts, India on December 29th 2009. In trichy division 23 candidates were selected and 10 of them were given induction training and they are to be posted in trichy division. I am waiting for the induction training. In the mean time i got selected in the SBI-Clerk written exam and attended the interview for it in Chennai on 26th April 2010. I got a interview call from tamilnadu mercantile bank for clerk,and i have some confusion in answering some of the questions. 1. I am MBA and in interview if they say you are overqualified and ask why did you applied for clerk rather than PO how can i answer? The reality is i found clerk exam to be lot easier than PO, so how can i answer them? 2.What to answer if they ask why did you chose our Bank? 3.And what kind of questions they usually ask?
