I happened to attend the interview today for asst mngr
panel interviews are held at idbi bank
in this panel are seated 3 well-experienced bankers who
know in and out of the banking

since cv was already submitted, NO formal questions such
as "Tell me something about urself " etc were not asked


Interview Questions was straight to the point in regards to
the workexp and generic to the economic questions

Since I had retail banking related exp, I was asked
question on the StopPaymennt (whether a person who is not a
A.signatory can make a stop payment)

Clean Note Policy of RBI
What is the difference between DD and PO?has the releveance
of the same decreased because of the Core Banking Solutions
and there were a few here and there which i cannot recollect
LC and what are the documents required for LC


Another of my colleague who done his MBA was asked about
GDP, BOP and swift (maybe because he had experience in
regards to the International Banking)



Lastly another of my colleague was asked about ALM, about
the Green shoe option (rest i cannot recollect ) ... maybe
because he had done MBA.

Guys, in IDBI bank interview -
0. Before going for the interview - ensure that you have
blow mentioned docs alongwith you.
(i)copies of all ur educational certificates with original copy
(ii)copies of all ur banking experience i.e. leaving
certificate and offer letter (both must)
(iii) DOB proof - leaving certificate
(iv) 4 color passport size photo
(v) copy of ur CV/resume
(vi) Copy of Call letter and Online Application print out (must)
(vii)Demand Draft (as requested)
* All successful candidates in the Interview will have to
undergo for Medical test , so be prepared for one day stay
4dsame.
You will be allowed to appear for the interview only if u
carry all above docs. No arguments will be entertained.
1. they will ask qestions that is relevant to the position
that they want to offer. So before ur interview preparation
go thru the JOB ADD.
2. Qts will be of banking related - i.e. Definition & use of
FOREX in banking sector,KYC, OD , PO, etc. So for the
prepartion of the same go through any books, or bank website.
They are more concerned about the Banking Terminology.
3. Interview is conducted by panel of 3 Sr. Level Banker.

Hi, I am shortlisted for Bank of India PO(GBO)and have my interview on 15th March ,2011. Can anyone help me on What& how to answer on the following questions: 1) Why did you choose banking when you have grown fast in the corporate sector (I worked for 3.5 years in a top BPO and now at a Fortune 500 Company... i have done B.Tech in Electronics and Communication eng.,if question is asked why you want to go for bank PO rather than Engineering jobs.Whats the appropriate answer to this. Most of the B.Tech applicants face this question.

most banks put a stipulation of 60% marks for degree for writing PO exams.Can a candidate who has not got 60% marks for degree but has got 60% marks for Postgraduation apply for such exams? please reply this question is faced by many

Please Help...... One of my close relative leady ( Married)presently working at state bank of hyderabad at hyderabad, her husbend also working in PVT company at hyderabad. Now she selected at UCO Bank for the post of PO.in the offer letter they have not mentioned place of posting. but they mentioned report for training at bhubaneswar , orissa . Now she is confussion wether she will join at UCO bank or not.as she dont know the place of posting .also she is affriding if they post at orissa , or otherthen hyderabad then her femily life will distrub. SO PLEASE HELP HER BY GIVING YOUR VALUABLE SUGGESTION.
