1-rtp is reliable transfer protocall and use in eigrp and
use to chek the conectivity in the neighbor router.if any
router doesnot reply to it neighbour then it send 16
unicast msg and if no anyrely found then it decleared the
roter dead thats why this is called relaible transfer
protocall.
2-the main diffrence b/w igrp and eigrp is that igrp works
on network adreess and eigrp works on network addres and
its mask.dual algo is also a diffrence between eigrp and
igrp.
3-slection of dr and bdr is base upon router id and port
piroty.if router id is match then port piroty is come in to
account.
4-a frame realy is called nbma because a farme relay switch
not support to the broadcast but support to the multi
aceess thas why this is called nbma.
5-ppp is point to point protocall and it send the data both
in synchronash mode or asynchronash mode of data
transfer.and it is a open protocall.
6-mahes is giving it right answer.
7-router(config)#router ospf <as>
#network network address
8-as number is used to identfy same protocall speaking
router for communacting.if there is diffrent as number of
same protall on two diffrent router on a same network then
they canot comunicate unless we difine redistribution.
9-mahes gives the right answer partialy.
10-it is very simple
but one thing is notable dere that it is the vioation of
ciso rules
but dont woory we can do it by implementing ip-sunet0 to
break the rule
11-mahes is right
12-contigus n/w is difine as if two netowrk having id of
same subnated id of any claass and it is coneced by any
other network id then this is called contigush network.
let threr is 2 roter r1 and r2
r1 having an id of 192.168.10.64/26 r2 having an netwok id
of 192.168.10.128/26both are sunate of same network.and if
it is conected by another n/w id like 172.10.10.10/any mask
then it is contiguish n/w
13-on stub router.
14-i think it is very easy so donot need to give answer.if
donot plz refer the book.
15-diffrnce betwwen link state protocall and distance
vector protocall is that in distance vector protocall route
is dicide on the basis of hoop count and in the link sate
it is deside upon the its matrix
(load.bandwith,relablty,delay)
routing update is also a big diffrence in distane vector
and link state routuing protocall.
16-i am tried so iaskedone thing plz metion tennon bom,or
froozen for detail.it is for b.tech student and for any
gradutae todd lamley is enough.it is very intresting topic
so i canot make it on limted line

(3)hi jitender,i think u got the 3rd answer wrong.
in case of selection of DR and BDR
the 1st priority is given to the higher priority of the router
in case of a conflict
the 2nd priority is given to the higher router id.
this further has two sub-divisions in it
1)1st preference is higher ip add of loopback int
2)2nd preference is higher ip add of active int
Is This Answer Correct ? | 3 Yes | 0 No |
Answer / mahesh
1.rtp is reliable transport protocol used in eigrp for reliable transport of packets
2.igrp is classful routing protocol and eigrp is classless
3.priority is first if u have tie, then highest ip adderess
5.point to point portocol used in wan links
6.tcp is connection oriented ,udp is connection less protocol
7.router ospf processid
network network number
9. AD is trustworthiness of the route for directley connected routes it is 0 (range from 0-255)
11.network which has only one entry and one exit is stub network
13.on stub networks we can implement default routing
