such as, Income tax, Wealth Tax, Gift tax.
Indirect taxes are those which are inclusive of all the
taxes such as- Sales tax, VAT, Excise Duty, Custom duty

The primary difference between Direct Taxes and Indirect
taxes is that,
> The tax is levied directly on the tax payer, i.e, the
Govenment levies and collects from such tax payer.
Eg: income tax, etc.
> In case of Indirect Taxes, The tax is collected by an
intermediary from the customer and eventually passes the
same to the Govt.

Direct Tax is the tax lived directly to Govt. and directly paid to Govt... Like Income Tax.
Indirect Tax:- The Tax is collected by user and eventually paid to same Govt. by Saller.....Like Sale Tax, Service Tax, CST, Exicse, Custom Duty....etc.

CERTAIN LIST OF EXPENSES ARE MENTIONED IN SECTION 35D regarding amortisation of such expenses........not included in the list are expenses like administrative expenses,consultancy fees etc...if these expenses are of revenue nature then well and good enough, problem taken care of.If it is not of revenue nature nor is it included in the list, how do u treat such expenses. Do u capitalise them by way of fixed assets or sunk costs or what do u do? any case laws that talk about expenses not mentioned in the section?
