What is the present Central sales tax rate in India? Also let me know the maxium and minium sales ..

Answer / rinky kathaith

The sale tax applies according to sale conditions: if you
sale goods in one state to another state then cst apply
with rate @ 2%, but if sale done without form c then the
cst shall aply @ 13.125%( present rate).

AND VAT APLLY ON THE INTRA STATE SALE OR PURCHASE .means if
you sale or purchased goods in same state ,then that state
level vat shall be aplly ,which is against dva-1 is 5 %
(change in 2011-12 ,haryana state level vat)
so net cconclusion is that sales tax is 2% ( if form c
issued by buyer) otherwise it shall be 13.125%.

and vat is 5 %( if dvat -1 issued) otherwise it shall be
12.5%
