For how many years can loan be waived off? Only this year
then why not next year and the year next and so on so forth?

If only one set of farmers get loan waivers this year then
why won't the others get the same next year?

And for how many years can a developing country such as
ours afford to waive off loans?

Instead, the money which is given off as loans can be
utilized to modernize agricultural methods, develop
irrigation facilities, use good quality seeds, and
techniques, coupled with enhaced tools and train the
farmers on using them, it will obviously yeild better
results.

It is the agriculture sector that needs to be supported and
not the individuals in this case.

if bank had not been helped by govt it would have harm the
financial condition of bank specially the npas of banks
would have affected the crar of banks some of the indian
public sector banks are seeking the help of govt. regarding
to maintain their crar as per basel 2 disclosure but when
govt is giving fund to banks i dont think loan weaver would
affect the financial health of banks.

are already classified as non performing aseets.the write-
off of only those NPA whose recovery was not coming dont
stand to lose for the banks.
