Monthly salary of X is 28000
As New Income Tax Slab 2013
1)0-200000----No Tax
2)200001--500000 ---10 %
3)500001--800000------20 %
4)Above 800001--------30 %
In this above Example
His Total Income Is 28000*12=336000
As per IT Slabs up 2 lakhs Tax Exempted
so 336000-200000=136000
136000 come under first slab
so that tax would be 136000*10 %=13600
13600/12=1133
Then His Monthly Net salary is 26867.00

New Tds rate on 1st Oct.2009
1st Slab Upto Rs.160000 - No TDS (Nil)
2nd Slab From 160000 to 300000 - 10%(TDS rate)
3rd Slab From 300001 to 500000 - 20% (TDS rate)
4th Slab Above 500000 - 30% (TDS rate)
For Ex: Mr.X Earning Rs.28000 per month. TDS sholud be
deduct from his salary.
TDS Calculation:
RS.28000*12 = 336000
Upto Rs.160000 no TDS will be deducted.
So, 336000-160000 = 176000
its comes under 2st slab.
so, 176000*10% = 17600
(Which is for one year)
Total TAX (One Year) = 17600
TDS deduction per Month is, 17600/12 = Rs.1467
The Net Salary of Mr.X is,
28000-1467 = Rs.26533/-
