cost of the bottles are rs.2 less then he can buy another
bottle. How much amount he had in his hand?

if the cost of the bottle is rs 2 less then rs 2 is saved
on each of the 9 bottles
thefore the amount saved is 2x9=18
the decreased cost of each bottle is rs 18
the orginal cost was rs 20
therfore the man had rs 180(20x9) in his hand.

consider the amount of 1 bottle is x.
the total amount is=9x.
so,
10(x-2)=9x
x=20.
