I have qualified in the sbi clerical test .Now my
interview is on 16-10-2008.So pls tell me what questions
are asked in the interview and tell me the reference book
for interview in sbi.

Hi,everyone says interview was fine.But I was asked some GK
questions (about three) which i could not answer. Should i
think i will not be selected. How will be marks awarded.
There are different boards. Each board may differ in
awarding marks. For some they r asking just 2 questions,for
some others they interviewed for 30 minutes, so how can
there be uniformity in marks. Please anyone clarify me.

hello friends,
i have given my interview on 25th.i had mentioned that i
have given sbi po associate and even sbi po held on 12th
oct.no body had mentioned it thinking that they may
disqualify them coz if hey are selected as po.they are sure
to leave he clerks job.so is that true?

hi,
i have attended the interview on 25th.i have mentioned that
i had attended the po exams twice.but everybody else have
not mentioned that even though they have attended.they are
thinking that they may disqualify them thinking that if
they get selected they wil quit the clerical job.so plz
clear this doubt.is that true?

Actually I have searched everywhere but unable to find the

..before starting the inteview session, the HR people (thos
who verifed our certificates, in SBI's CPRD) just gave us
an introduction, the HR manager told that the results will
be announced in December and recruting process will start
only in January..

..i was asked around 10-15 GK questions, only a few i could
answer and in that the most of them i couldn't answer
perfectly, like the states going to have election, i could
only state 2 correctly..they also asked questions
like "whatz the drawbacks faced by the examination system
of our universities etc.." then PM assasinated whn he was
abroad ..etc...but to some my friends only asked explain
abt family, native place etc..me too don't know how there
will be uniformity in marks..

Hi! I've also given the interview for recruitment of
clerical cadre in sbi. I am awaiting the result with bated
breath and hoping for the best. By the way I would like to
clarify one thing. Is it true that the salary for this post
is as low as Rs. 7600 in aggregate(take-home pay)? Is there
no scope for revision in the salary for a higher pay as per
the recommendations of the 6th pay commission or otherwise?
While it is true that all of us who have qualified for the
interview are desirous of getting recruited, it is also a
fact at the same time that such a low salary will hardly
suffice in this age of high prices and cut-throat
competition in every sector. Frankly speaking, once I came
to know of this low salary, it really abated my desire to
join this prestigious concern which otherwise claims to be
the leader of the public sector banks. Is such a low salary
expected from such a banking behemoth? I am eagerly waiting
for a proper answer to my query from someone who has
sufficient knowledge in this regard. Please answer my
question.

Dear kishore,
Its absolutely rite that the take home salary for will be
Rs. 7600/- p.m nd its almost the same for clerical cadre in
every public sector bank whether its Sbi or anyone else.
The 6th pay commission has nothing got to do with banks as
its only for state and central govt concerns.

Dear Vijay,
Till date there is no indication for the revision of the
salary of bank employees.
But in near future means in coming year u can expect the
revision but it will nt b very high as after revision u can
get 9000/- pm in higher side as take home.
Your basic pay will get hike every year but it is as low as
Rs 350/- p.m and will be once in a year.
