yes it is true actually that is basic and that 3 and 4
those all indicates years like for the first 3 years you
will get basic 4410 and then every year you will get a
increament for Rs.215 for the next 3 years and again for
another 3 years you will get basic yearly increamnet as
Rs.335............but with basic your other allowances will
also increase accordingly but not that much..!!!

yes it is true that they r offering very less salary but it
depends upon person if you can compramise then you can get
more in future but not sure so don't think that much about
salary,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks

Hi friends,

i see here much discussions on the pay offered by SBI. But
this being a clerical job, the sbi is justifiable in
offering so low a salary. this job is mainly for freshers
and 12th passed people. maybe we have done a mistake in
applying for this post. but, Govt. hjobs are always coveted,
and thism being in the bankign sector, is great. now its
your turn to acept the realties of life. whether u want to
settle with good salary, or u want a peaceful life, and with
pension and other perks.

So friends, decide on whether u really want this job.

hi friends,

SBI will offer us the salary as shown in the advertisement
only, also the revision is pay is not that final but it wud
b happening, when and how much, still in dark.

apart from that if someone has to earn more to fulfill his
financial liability for hte family than this job is not
worth for that.

even if we join it we wud b only eleigible for inter dept.
promotion or appear in papers after 1 0r 2 years of service
whatever the rule is and there again we all friends wud b
competing once again and this competion will be goin on and
on, so i don't think there is no peace in life........
is it?

also if u r earing 15-20k today than after 2 years u wud b
getting minimum 10% cumulative figure form now i.e.around
19-25k.
and we wud take 3-5 years in getting that salary in SBI.
as per my thought.

so please take the decision carefully,
apart form that pension is now available in all the pvt.
ltd. and MNC firms too.
so i don't think that wud b a problem even if ur PF is not
being deducted we cud save a lot due to tax saving etc.

what do u all say
we all sud participate in this discussion and share our views.

HOW CUD THE GOVT. JUST THINK OF GIVING US THIS AMOUNT OF
MONEY AND EXPECT FOR A CORRUPTION FREE OFFICE.

ya that will b more or than similar but mainly questions
relating to tabular data interpretation pie chart wud b most
important.

also u can refer agarwal's Reasoning of Kiran publicaton
for reasoning.

i had appeared for hte sbi main in september and also i hope
to b selected for the main of hte exam held on 12.10.08.

just make good practice for both reasoning nad data
interpretaion.

Hi! Here's me all over again. Great many thanks to you all
for the wonderful responses that you have forwarded with
reference to the question posted by me earlier. However I
would like to have another doubt clarified. As I have
noticed, someone has written that we will be put on
probation for a period of six months after our appointment.
So is it a fact that we can be rejected even during the
probationary period if our performance does not stand upto
the expectations of the recruiters for some reason or the
other? Is there any other ground on the basis of which we
may be rejected even after our appointment? Please let me
know the answers to these questions as they have been
bothering me for quite some time. Also does anybody know
when the final results will be declared?

hello guys. and hello manjula.,,, u shoult not get worried
abt ur interview because u had given sbi po exan 2 times .,
this shows ur dedication 4 sbi,... they will surely select
u if ur written exam marks are quite well,...... because
interview consists only 40 marks and written exam consists
200 marks,..... so dont worry mamu ,. enjoy,.
aur haan jahan tak result ki baat hai,. 20 nov. tak
aa jayege kynki mere uncle sbi BHOPAL ke head of the
department hai/....... unka kahna hai ki sbi po ki
recruitment process allredy pending hai,.. so result will
be declared soon,....
sbi po exan (held on 12 oct.) ka result bhi 8
oct. se pehle aa jayega ,.....

hi guys.. i attended the interview on 13th of oct,morning
session at stc bangalore. The interview went on very well..
Most of the questions were regarding current affairs and
general awareness. They asked me about olympics 2008, and
some easy questions from mechanical engineering( as i am frm
mechanical engineering background).
i have heard that there are 1128 openings for clerical cad
in karnataka and only 1300 are qualified in written test.
and some ppl were absent for the interview, so its most
likely that who all appeared for the interview are sure to
be selected.

Hi anil,
yes if a candidate is unwilling to join then it will be
given to others who stand next. Thr will be waiting list
also. I was told this by an officer in the bank when I
attended d intrvw.No need to worry if one doesn't get the
job.Becoz all of those who got appointment won't join.
Some of dem dont like d salary & some dont like 2 leave the
MNC's & their present jobs where dey can get more.

VERY IMPORTANT- Hi guys i am selected in sbh i read in the advertisement that was published in employment news about clerical recruitment in sbi associate banks that the job will involve marketing flair ie. will require making calls, travelling a lot My questions are 1. is it a marketing job or clerical job 2. are they recruiting us for in the bank services or will make us travel like marketing people 3. i initially thought that my job will be like those people who i see in banks ie. cashier etc but after reading the advt carefully i guess the job is something different 4. please guys clarify my doubts .U may also assk ur friends selected in last years sbi recruitment drive as to what jobs are they assigned and whether the advt during their time also had similar description of the job.. friends guide me state bank of india- interview I have one doubt in BIO-DATA-CUM-ATTESTATION FORM. In first page, top right corner, i have pasted my photo.
