Animation is the word derived from the word "animal motion"
the study of motion of animals is called animation not only
animals any living being such as mammels is called animation.
In early days the motion is recorded in single picture's by
drawings after that a series of drawings played at once and
after that by using computer.

Animation is a process of displaying a series of images of a
sequence & creating a sense of motion of the character in
images by the principle optical illusion of motion of motion
persistence of vision.By this process we give a feeling of
life to characters.In simple word "to give life to a
non-living object. immobile world of inanimate drawings that
had been granted the secret of motion, [a] death-world with
its hidden gift of life. But that life was a deeply
ambiguous life, a conjurer's trick, a crafty illusion based
on an accidental property of the retina, which retained an
image for a fraction of a second after the image was no
longer present. On this frail fact was erected the entire
structure of the cinema, that colossal confidence game.This
is called animation.
