Nothing to worry shyam . paper 5 was time consuming to
everyone and to every graduate , yep.. engineering students
can fare well, unless they are preparing for CAT or
something like that. if that is not the case then no
engineering student can score more than 120. Though it
wasn't that tough, it demanded lengthy, monotonous steps. so
70-75 is still a good score . average score may fall to 40
in this particular paper.

tough

Hi all,
I was preparing by butts off for about 10 - 12 hours a day
for Group - 1, but after attending the essay paper I wasnt
sure if I will ever make the next level as the first
section was full of irrelevant questions. Couldnt see any
essays which I prepared on. The rest of the other 2
sections had expected questions, however the first one was
bit general. Though I marked 7 pages white to black I'm not
confident on the first essay. There is no doubt as one of
my other dude already said rest of the other papers were
moderate and easy, I would agree with him but all my dreams
and more over most of the students struggled really hard to
score some decent marks in paper 5, as the critical thing
was the time issue. After checking with couple of my other
batch mates who are Mtech IIT's and engineers, even they
seemed to have had timing issues. All I could do was
attempt only 100 marks and not even sure if I may score any
better than 70 - 75. So I have my fingers and legs crossed
and just waiting for the results to be announced, so that
may prepare well for the next year. How about you all, how
did you guys perform??
I was expecting to compensate my minor mistakes committed
in the first 4 papers with paper 5, however it now seems
that the first 4 papers should come to the rescue of the
5th paper. All my dreams have been shattered by the lengthy
paper 5. Every one had high hopes to score well in the 5th
paper, but it seems even people from Maths background had
difficulty in solving it. Its not that we couldnt solve it
but 3 hours was very less to solve it. Finally it appeared
as a Paper not for selection but a smart tactic by APPSC
for elimination... let me know your views friends.

hi shyam, dont worry& b cool.performance of every gr.1 main
aspirant is same as u.but somewhere their mistakes may
different from u. all the best.
