Summary filers are used when you want to apply filter the aggregated values.

While detailed filer worked at lower level of data/values in the columns.

E.g
1) Detailed filters -> [Quantity] < 2000
2) Summary filter -> [Quantity] = maximum([Quantity] for [Company])

In #1 you get report output at detailed level while in #2 you get summarized data.

Summary filter: If the filter applied after aggregation
then aggregated records are filtered.

Group filter: A filter which is applied to the group is
known as group filter

There is no difference between summary filters and grouped
filters:
For version 8.3 and above ... we use the term summary
filter and for lower versions we say grouped filters.
