i am using intel core 2 duo system, i ws installed linux 5.0
it has gigabyte ethernet card. we cant assigning ip adress
to that. we used many commads to assign but no use wt to do

We firstly need to check wheather the ethernet card has
proper driver installed. If not, we need to install proper
driver for that ethernet. Afterwards we need to use
ifconfig eth0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
