TCS means tax collection at source which is liable on sales
of scrape (which is not useable).
Rate of TCS is 1% and 3% cess of the income is not greater
than 1 crore & 1% TCS 10% surcharge and 3% Cess ifincoem is
more than 1 crore.

TCS stands for tax collection at source. In case of profits
and gains from the business of trading in alcoholic liquor,
forest produce, scrap etc. u/s 206C(1) of the Income Tax
Act, 1961 seller is required to collect the income tax from
the buyer as per the specified rates either at the time of
receipt of such amount or at the time of debiting amount
payable by the buyer to his concerned account.

tds and tcs are not same. tsd is charged on the payments
and tcs is charged on the scrap.

TCS means Tax Collection Source that have to collect from
others who have deducted the tds.
Rates of TDS & TCS are same.
There are different categoric like
sub-contractor,contractor,rental, professional,
consultant...etc for each category rates are different.Rates
are divided category wise for both tds & tcs.

We have received bill of Machine installation charges but service provider is not raised service tax in bill who is pay service tax ?

If i buy a crane for Rs. 10 Lakh and claim depreciation the cost of the crane in the 2nd year is 7 Lakh and in the 3rd year it is 4.9 Lakh and in the 4th year it is 3.4 Lakh ...... Can i re-value the crane in the 5th year to the 2nd hand market price of Rs. 20 Lakh and claim depreciation on it @ 30% ? (Cost of crane in 6th Year now is 20 Lakh - 6 Lakh = 14 Lakh )
When tds should be paid to govt.? on provison of particular expense in com's book or after payment is made to party for that particular expense.
1. while making invoice of import ups then dealer charge the service tax then it is included in the bill or not. 2.Or we make to separte invoice for service charges.
