Class C
192.0.1.1 to 223.255.254.254

Here we can use class A ip address which is easy to
configure and very easy to connect in DCPH method for 1500
machines.it will reduce the network traffic but security is
less here.

Class B is not used , it a flat organisation.
Class c is not provided for 1000 to 1500 id address. this
method you have using it , loss of the data at the same
time traffic doing for System side.
so you can used for VLAN METHOD.This will help to cutdown
network traffic AND security.

Doesn't matter what Class you use. You just need a private IP block. /21 should do the job. Will support 2048 IPs. Question doesn't say you need vlans here. Assuming flat topo.

It must be class B if network is not design proper. It's
Flat network configuration.
In large organizations that having this much of network
equipments, should design their network with proper VLAN and
IP Subneting. This will help to cutdown network traffic and
security. It also help to resolve and minimize network
related problems.
