1.Core Layer - responsible for transferring the huge
amount of data over the internetwork.
2.Access Layer - is responsible for client connectivity.
3.Distribution Layer - bridges the gap between the core

2.) network protocol layer which takes care of transport ,
net work layer activities
3.) device drivers layer which support dll & phy lyr...
so can maintain net work with 3 layer tech'lgy....
but it is little bit complex to maintain
