WHEN WE COMPLITE FRESH INSTALLATION EVERY USER HAVE TO
CREATE HIS OWN PROFILE AND HE CAN CUSTUMISE IT AS PER HIS
REQUIREMENT BUT RECYCLE BIN IS A COMMAN ICON FOR ALL .

after installation of windows xp, by default only Recycle
bin comes. You need to customise your desktop icons by
right clicking on desktop----> choose properties--->desktop
tab---->click on customize desktop option ---> then choose
all the options which u want to appear on the desktop--->
then click on OK.

All the above answers are incorrect.

After installation of new windows the profile get loaded
form "Default User". The new user account which u create
during installation, Say "Tom" is the user name, then the
first settings u will get it from Default user, which is
hidden by default.

the recycle bin is built in software.we can add and remove
the recycle by going through the service "gpedit.msc" by
usin this command we can add and remove many icons from the
desktop.

Windows XP new theme by default has Recycle Bin alone on
desktop. If u want to have other icons like My computer, My
Network Places, etc.you need to do the following.right click
on Tool bar--->properties--->start menu---> classic start
menu--->apply--->OK.

In Windows Xp Theme we can get mycomputer, my
networkplaces, etc..in the Start menu except Recyclebin.

In WIndows XP Classic Mode we can see all the Icons same as
in Windows 2000 desktop.

It's just because of Windows XP Theme.

after installation we get the recycle bin it was designed
default for one use who logs firstly, we can change and
remove recycle bin & other services going on "gpedit.msc".
