U.P is the answer.But I think if there is a choice of West Bengal, it would be a little more apt one.None of the answers that are available from G.K books and other source of informations are correct.confused by every answer!!!

Up to 2001 it was West Bengal.But according to 2011 census
It's Bihar.

no its not actually up as it is the most populated state but most densely populated state is Bihar according to 2011 census and west bengal according to 2001 census and if any one has confusion he/she can confirm it on other sites.
