A chocolate block is of 4 X 4 size.How many cuts are needed
to make 1 X 1 size blocks. No simultaneous vert. & horz. cuts?

4 cuts..
first cut it exactly into 2 parts along y axis.. now v have
2 blocks.Place 1 block over the other block.
Now cut it along x axis.. Therefore now v have 2 cuts n 4
blocks..
place each block over the other(Stack it) n then perform a
cut each along both the axes..
Thus v'l have 16 1 X 1 blocks at the end of 4 cuts..

Since it is 4 X 4 size and it needs 15 cuts to get 1 X 1
size ( because there is no simultaneous cut )
