1. N/w card fialure
2. Agent Shutdown
Two cases Traps are are not sent.
This Condition easyly Known from SNMP Object In the System
Group i.e SysUpTime.
This is useful even if we are not implemented traps.
Procedure :
Plot The Gaph for SysUpTime Object from any MIB
browser ,then when the system goes shutdown.it stops at One
point in the Graph .Note that time.again when the system
runs the timer comes to zero and start incrasing.
by using this we know exact time when the system goes
down and when it is up.

Agent will send the trap to manager.
These problems or defined in the generic trap type, i.e
Linkdown, link up,cold start, warm start... So any [roblem
occurs in the device agent can sent the trap wwith the
above trap types, so we can find easily what problems
occured in the device.
if this answer not exact please send correct one.

A trap can be sent only when a system/ device comes back ,
while shutting down there is no way it can send a trap ..
so only way is we need to constantly poll for the health of
devices or else wait until it comes back to recieve a trap

If you have configured Trap then any of the NE or system
will get shutdown on reboot then Manager will get a trap /
Event. which says that you machine is reboot or getting
shutdown.

Answer / debasis
If any card is down then agent can send a trap and if the
machine gets shut down also it can send a trap.
But in case agent crashes then there should some health
check module which will check the status of hardware or
agent and if it is down then it should start the agent service.
All the above answer are partial correct because there
nothing specific answer on this. This depends on the
requirement.
