Version controll means, if you want to modify the mapping,
we can use this concept and in this the version numbers are
like 1,2 etc, but not like 1.1, 1.2. in this we have this
follwing function like check in, check out, undo check out,
view history, delete, recovery, purge.
power center versioning is a repository option. when
repository is createing we can enabling this option and
after creadted repository also we can enable it, once enble
this optin we can not do disable again.

version controlling in the sense if u want edit the mapping
at the time u use versioning.
we are using versioning in vss(visul safe source)

If the repository is built as a Version controlled repository then only Version controlling is possible in which you cannot edit any of the objects without Checking them out
and every history gets recorded

my sourse is like id name sal--1 aa 1000 ,2 bb 2000, 3 cc 3000 4 dd 4000, 5 ee 6000 , 6 ff 7000 and so on but myrequirement is like this id name sal up_sal,1 aa 1000 null,2 bb 2000 1000, 3 cc 3000 2000 4 dd 4000 3000, 5 ee 5000 4000 , 6 ff 6000 50000 and so on so how can i get it plez reply for this as soon as possible , thanks in advanced
