How are animals classified according to the germ layers present in their embryonic development?
Answer / Ajeet Singh
Animals can be classified into three main groups based on the number and arrangement of germ layers in their embryos. Deuterostomes have a blastopore that becomes the anus, and their gut develops from the endoderm; protostomes have a blastopore that develops into the mouth or the anus, and their gut develops from the ectoderm or endoderm; and ambiostomes are a small group with both patterns of germ layer development.
