How to create measures and Demensions?..

Answer / palzkumar

Question is bit confusing..

First of all, when you design model in FMW, you will derive
new (calculated) measure thru existing KPI/Measure. Like
Qty, Sales Amt, Rate, Discount etc. From this KPI, you can
derive new measure.

Otherwise, when you design DM for a organization, you need
to study the sytem, you define Dimension, where all master,
and heirachies are there. Difine a Fact Table with All KPI,
Measures/Numbers.

And then you join PK in Dimension Tables with FK in Fact
Table.

This is dimensional modeling in dw. this db can used in
FWM, to create package, where you create calculated measure.
