Deep Learning is a powerful subset of Machine Learning that has achieved state-of-the-art performance in many applications. However, it's not always the best choice for every problem. Machine Learning encompasses a broader set of techniques and algorithms, some of which may be more appropriate for certain tasks than deep learning.
