Answer / kamal kumar
Petroleum is a mineral oil composed of a very compelx mixture of carbon and hydrogen occurring naturally in the earth and removed by drilling or pumping under great pressure. The source of the crude oil is believed to be the decayed remains of tinny sea plant and animals which have been banished under earth due to earthquake or some geographical reason subject to the influence of temperature and water filtration. It is a very complex substance. It consists of a large number of hydrocarbons all mixed together with gases liquids and soils. They must be separated and the petroleum must be refined before use
