Explain about Scintillometer?
Answer / minaxi gautam
Scintillometer:-Radioactive substance spontaneously emit three types o radiation. The first is a shower of alphas particles, which are nuclei of helium. The second consists of fast electrons and the third is gamma radiations. Alpha-Particle produce tiny visible flashes called scintiliations when they fall on a surface coated with a sensitive material like zinc sulphide etc. Scintillometer is an instrument bed on this principle and measures the number of alpha particles emitted in a given time.
