Q.931 is an ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union - Telecommunication Standardization Sector) signaling protocol used for call setup, teardown, and management in ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) and VoIP networks. It exchanges control messages between network devices to establish, maintain, modify, and release calls.
