what are the database server operating modes available for informix? Explain each.
Answer / Vineet Kumar Rai
Informix provides several server modes. Here are some of them: 1) OnLine mode (OL): This is the default mode where the server operates in a fully online, non-recoverable state. 2) Recovery mode (RC): This mode recovers the database from a backup or crash. 3) Maintenance mode (MA): This mode performs maintenance operations like checkpointing and reorganizing tables. 4) Backup mode (BA): This mode backs up the database.
