Question- what is excise duty? And what is excise duty percentage on sales.

Answer- excise duty is a central tax who is applicable for only manufacturing company for excusable slabs products. And every products slabs have different percentage on sales. Like (food products 10%, rubber products 12%, and any other)

Excise duty is a duty levied on goods manufactured.There are different rates applicable for different goods as per CETA i.e. Central Excise Tariff Act.And most important it is chargeable at time of goods manufactured and not on sales.
