you can monitor traffic flowing to a port from another port.

What is SPAN or RSPAN? ..

SPAN - this is the Switch Port Analyzer. It is synonymous with Port Mirroring. SPAN allows you to take all the traffic on a switch port, or multiple ports, even an entire vlan and copy it to a destination port.

RSPAN - is just Remote SPAN - here you can perform the above on Multiple Switches - traffic from multiple switches to your destination port.
