I attended the interview at chennai on 1 Aug 2011 for a B1 visa. I have only one year experience and i got my VISA approved. So its not the experience or the job that matters. I think it is your presentation and the confidence with which you face the Visa officer at the interview. Remember, the Visa officer, is asking you all the questions with constant doubt, if you will return to india, at the end of your assignment. I would suggest you pick up the list of questions asked to the different categories of interviewees and practice answering them loud and clear, before you go for the interview next time. Today i was interviewed by US Embassy in chennai for B1 visa and my visa is rejected. When can i apply for next application?
Recently (February 2011) i got rejected for B1 visa. Visa consoler gave the reason that you didn't convince the visa consoler. My company is making arrangement to send me for second interview in March 2011. Actually my question is, in checking counter they asked me to take only the receipt, passport, confirmation slip and appointment letter to the US consoler. But I have an invitation letter from my client which specifies my schedule plan on my visit. Can I attach that plan document while giving the passport and other documents to the consoler?

I have made a mistake in filling my father's date of birth (actually I have put the year wrong, correct is 1952 and I have put in 1951 in the DS160 Visa application form. Will this have any implications on my B1 visa???
