The manhole covers which are Square or rectangle can be
easily put inside the hole by holding it diagonally.
But in case of circle, it is same in all the angles and safe
to use for man holes.

The area/circumference ratio, in case of circular shape is
more than other shapes. So, when it is opened the volume of
water drained through it will be much more than other types
of shape.

because for the reason that when it is removing or closing
it is easy to use round rather than square or any other else
other reason is by some means u slip of it is falled into
the hole but round can't
